Beyond simple price alerts, TradingView lets you create alerts based on indicator values, crossovers, and complex conditions. This turns your indicators into an automated monitoring system.
Creating Indicator-Based Alerts
- 1Add the indicator to your chart (e.g., RSI, MACD, Moving Average)
- 2Click the Alert button (clock icon) in the top toolbar, or press Alt+A
- 3In the Condition dropdown, select the indicator instead of the price
- 4Choose the specific condition (crossing a value, crossing another indicator)

Set alerts on higher timeframes for the most reliable signals. A daily RSI crossing below 30 is much more significant than a 5-minute RSI doing the same thing.
